Yesterday was a delightful day off in Frankfurt, with most countries it seems in Europe experiencing the first heatwave of the summer it felt great to get outside and into the sun. A swim in the morning and a little bit of a wander around town in the afternoon. Our 'hub' from Frankfurt continues today with a round trip to Hannover.....

....which brings back memories of the show we did there in 1996 inside an old U-boat factory. It was the hottest show any of us have ever done and thankfully today's show was in the TUI arena, a fabulous modern concert venue with 'air'. I was reminded that it was June 7, 1996. The venue was called Music-Hall Hannover.

Sam and Tim Hook pictured in the production office. Sam, Tim's son, is traveling with the crew for a week helping out with various elements of the production on a work experience trip. Here Tim shows him the ropes in the accounts department. Tim is the tour manager and is in charge of everything financial and also books hotels and organizes flights and transportation. Tomorrow Sam is helping with the rigging!

Speaking of rigging, here's Johnny Ashton and Dave Hall, our new stage manager in the adjacent office on their computers.

Just to show that the little monitors in front of Mark aren't plugged in. They merely hide the myriad of cables surrounding Mark's mic stand.
