Hubbing out of Edmonton Alberta today to the small town of Saskatoon in Sasketchewan. I'm pretty sure I've never been here although Mark says he has, albeit a long time ago. Flying in you can clearly see the effects on the roads of the long harsh winters endured here, but our local driver said "you think they're bad here, just wait till you get to Regina". Known as the city of bridges with it's seven river crossings across the Saskatchewan river, with a population roughly the same as Kelowna (250,000) it's only a brief drive into town from the airport to the gig. Yet another symphony hall which I can't say I'm upset about as the acoustics are great and the facilities fine although I'm curious about one thing; the dressing rooms in these places, usually quite small, only ever contain a maximum of two slightly worst-for-wear couches. One wonders about what happens during an orchestral concert...where does the orchestra change? In their cars? The crew boys are happy though as the load-in's and local crew are top notch, and today the local catering was fabulous with a freshly roasted side of beef expertly sliced by the chef.

Once more satisfying my penchant for cloud photography, the plains of Saskatchewan provide some magnificent formations.

Is it the 7-11 or is it the stage door?
