A word about the Madrid show before I go on with the Lisbon entry. We learned that at the end of the show in Madrid, when there was a rush of fans towards the front of the stage, some joker decided to STEAL one of our AUDIENCE MICROPHONES. The mic, a Sennheiser and quite valuable was removed from the front of Mark's position just as we left the stage. If any of you guys are aware of this please let me know. Thanks.

On to the Lisbon show and all of us recalled that this is Danny's anniversary gig. It was 3 years ago when DC took on the drummer role in unusual circumstances and pulled it off amazingly. Well done Dan. Fresh Baked Beats.

Dan's eye view of the arena and a few spares that sit behind Dan for emergencies.

Right after my comments about not being able to play in the Spanish bullrings, we find ourselves in a Portugese one. An indoor bullring which none of us have played in before and what a place. I always like to have a snoop around inside these amazing buildings as they all possess an eerieness which is difficult to explain. The concept of bullfighting is not something I'm going to comment upon but just behind the stage, there were a pair of beautiful 'huge' doors behind which was the areas where they keep the bulls for the fights. Thankfully there weren't any bulls lurking there so I took a few pics. You couldn't see the blood on the walls with the naked eye, it was only when I looked at the flash enhanced pic that I noticed.

The catering area which had a hospital vibe to it was obviously one of the rooms where injuries were attended to at the fights. Here Steve serves Matt a portion of honey-roast duck and Richard attempts to feed the Rick some beetroot.

Matt and Ben adopt the new 'folk-shag' pose. Folk-shag is the adopted name of the new meet and greet band.

It's always advisable to luxuriate before the evening's endeavors. Below Mark warms up on my Draleon archtop proir to this evening's meet and greet.

A great hot and sweaty show and a fantastic crowd even though we did have a problem with the lighting system towards the end of the show.  It didn't seem to detract from the climax though.
