We've had a fabulous stay in Miami at the Northern end of Miami beach residing in the brand spanking new Regent Bal Harbour hotel. The view below is from our balcony and overlooks a Manitee zone. There's a sign under the bridge warning all craft to slow down as these freindly creatures 'hang out' here. In fact we saw two of them yesterday, each about 8-10 feet long and moving very slowly through the water. Later on, one of them swam into the beach and Laurie (my wife) swam out and got to within 6 feet of this graceful/ugly monster completely aware of course that it's illegal to touch them.

I was reliably informed recently that Clearwater is the lightening capital of America. I love it already. A rainstorm of biblical proportions preceded our arrival into Clearwater today. Pete Hillier, our production manager called and said that the car park was flooded. It was. Luckily we are indoors tonight and the rain passed anyway.

The penultimate show was another fabulous gig, another listening crowd, another warm welcome and another great sounding room.

The final trip on the Legacy for most of us as it's only Mark, Danny, John, Tim and Paul flying home tomorrow after the final show. Here we all pose with Tessa before 'de-planing' for the final time.

Dave and Simon on the stage. "we love each other really" says Simon. I finally got to interview Dave today for the behind the scenes documentary which I will be working on over the coming weeks. Stay tuned to find out exactly what I decide to do with all the footage!

A lovely thing happened today..Bear, one of the US truck drivers was re-united with his sister today. They were separated at birth and both adopted. It seems she tracked him down and they met up here this afternoon for the first time. An emotional re-union to add to the emotional build-up to the end of the tour.

After the show, the final runner with the full band and we had a police escort to run us back to the airport where Tess was waiting with our favourite after-show nosh...Ribs and wings! Back to the Regent Bel Harbour hotel for a final soiree in my room.

Tomorrow....
