Our second day in the sweltering heat of Miami and the strength of the sun is all too apparent. After a few hours on the beach and in the bath-like sea both Dan and I are at our burn limit so we take it easy today. We leave the hotel at 3:30pm in the aftermath of yet another series of thunderstorms that track by us just to the north and 20 minutes later we're boarding the plane at Opa-Locka airport, Florida.

It's a one hour and 45 minute flight up to Atlanta and Tessa is back in charge on board the Legacy. Plenty of time to enjoy lunch today and she serves up a delicious Mexican selection of Beef, Chicken, Tortillas, salsa, cheese, sour cream, etc.etc.

This is Dave, our intrepid captain for most of the US leg of the tour.

Last time we came here to Chastain park, the heavens opened just before the show and the weather was strikingly similar today as we landed in PDK Peachtree airport Atlanta. A few lightening strikes but thankfully and once again luckily the gig stays completely dry. There something about this delightful venue which reminds me of Wimbledon...the green seats and the leafy surroundings I suppose.

Another one of those shows with a garden party atmosphere, with the occasional sounds of wine bottles being un-corked and people picnicking at their tables. when we took to the stage, most of the audience was still eating, that soon subsided as the energy of our first few songs seemed more enhanced for some reason. a slightly unusual sounding stage, it sort of sounds like a small room but by all accounts the out front sound is as good as ever. Mike out in the audience looking for shots as usual.

A great evening and we run back to the plane where the lovely Tessa gets smiles all round as she brings out the shepherd's pies. It's all I can do to resist it and I just have a salad and a few spoonfuls of the delicious gravy, it's a tough life.

Just two more to go now and tonight we all said goodbye to Steve Ricalis who's been in charge of catering for the whole tour. Steve is off to work on Rod Stewart's tour tomorrow and until next time, we'll miss him.
