A beautiful hazy day greeted us in Philadelphia as we flew in for the show from New York. The Mann centre is another one of those semi-outdoor venues we call 'sheds'. A quite bizarre structure but a wonderfully designed music venue with great acoustics and a particularly vibrant on-stage sound. We had a great show once again and yet again the audience was nothing short of fantastic. Fitting in with the general trend of this tour, they seemed to really listen to every note and at the end erupted with appreciative applause.

Chauffeurs in mirror are often closer than they appear but today's drivers were extremely good and we had a nice chat with Robert, our driver after the show. The difference between drivers who know what they're doing and those who don't is staggering.

Dick Boek, our good friend from Martin guitars delivered a few gems today, here he is explaining to John the intricacies of the Terz mini-Martin which Mark and I used so extensively on the KTGC album.

Tim getting some more practice in.

Jesca was most touched, in fact she was speechless when Mark gifted her a most beautiful 000 Martin acoustic.

Mr. Saggers and Alfie (Colin Barton) gives the seal of approval to one of the new Martins.

The flight back was short and I'm not sure the plane ever got above 3,000 feet so it was a bit of a scramble for Tessa to serve up the Philly cheese steaks, but Pete and Tim came to the rescue.
