Firstly I'd like to thank everyone who posted birthday wishes on the forum and to all those who sang happy birthday at the show last night, cheers.

It was a bit of a full-on day for me so I didn't take any photographs but Mike came to the rescue once more with some stunning shots of Brighton. Also, Leon, my 12 year old, had my video cam and I grabbed a few stills from that. The band re-assembled for sound check in Brighton after another much needed day off. We were all more tired than we thought and t took a while to get back into gear for the show but as usual as soon as we walked on stage, that little burst of adrenaline kicked in and we were off again on another fabulous show. My home venue, so there were a lot of mates in the audience who were witness to the most surprising moment of the tour so far for me. At the end of the show when we were all waving and bowing before finally leaving the stage, Mark ushered me forward, took off his red Strat, handed it to me and said "Happy Birthday". I thought at first it was a joke, but soon realized he was dead serious. I was completely gobsmacked...and so was Danny who moments before got bashed in the lip by the head of Mark's guitar causing his mouth to fill with blood. He's fine today though as am I, sitting here with a gorgeous signature MK Strat in my lap. What a mate!

The west pier built in 1866 has a long and distinguished history, unfortunately it burned to a skeletal shell in 2003.

The showmehowtoplay.com team came along to the show ad we did another interview.

This was actually taken in Cardiff, Matt interviews one of our drivers as part of the coming-soon behind the scenes docu-film 'the band drivers'. Notice how professional I look as I film. Only to discover I didn't record the whole segment!! Both Matt and Gunter were gracious enough to grant me another opportunity.
