As we took off from Edinburgh this afternoon, we had a great view of the 2.5 km. (1.5 mile) Forth Railway Bridge, the world’s first major steel bridge, with its gigantic girder spans of 1710 ft. Ranking as one of the great feats of civilization, the bridge was completed in 1890 and was built to replace the Tay bridge after it was demolished in the great storm of 1879. A short flight to Dublin and straight to the venue.

Ah, Dublin...the RDS is a new venue for us as we usually play at the Point which I understand is being renovated at the moment. Once again we left one of our trucks behind due to the tight schedule so it was a cut-down lighting rig and local catering. There's something very special about a Dublin crowd and this was no exception. What a fantastic gig. I know it may seem repetitive, I keep saying that but it's true.

The production office today was most desirable, situated in one of the bars in the venue. Of course as soon as I saw this I asked Pete if there was a keg of Guinness on. He wasted no time in arranging said delights for the pre-encore drink..see below.

6 delicious pints of back-stage Guinness, all consumed.
