One of the high points of any tour, Edinburgh is a place we all really enjoy visiting and staying. The venue is just a short walk from our hotel so Danny and I wandered down there for a cup of tea all the while trying not to get in the way of the crew who don't exactly relish the thought of loading into the Playhouse. One of the most unique things here is the truck-lift on stage left which today was used by the lighting and PA trucks. The entire trailer is reversed into the elevator and goes up 4 floors to the back of the stage whereupon it is unloaded. I was amazed to see that they managed to get pretty much the entire lighting rig in. From the band's point of view though it's one of our favourite places to play and after 39 shows, it's our first theatre! And what a pleasure it was too, a fantastic audience and great on-stage sound.

The second installment of the 'behind the scenes' series of on-the-road documentaries.....'the drum department'.

Most of my afternoon was spent swapping the hard drives in the MacBooks.

Not the crew's favourite gig this as it's a very difficult load-in and out. The caterers have to work in a very cramped basement and there is only room for two tables for everyone to eat. You'd never know of this adversity by looking at the menu. Stunning soup, beef pie, duck breast, haddock and to top it all, Angus was justifiably proud of today's dessert. A Cranachan. A slight modification of a traditional Scottish pudding made with whipped cream, whiskey, honey, raspberries and oatmeal. I confess to abandoning all self-control once I saw it.

Mr. and Mrs. Rollings in catering.

Today marks the official release of  'Inamorata'. It's in the shops in the UK and is now available on iTunes and other download sites worldwide so if you're without a copy.......well, you know.

After the show it was a very short runner back to the Balmoral hotel and then to the bar to meet up with various guests including John McCusker's lovely family. Then as usual it was lovely nightcaps and lovely tea in my lovely room for lovely Glenn, lovely Richard, lovely Danny and me.
