Waking up in Toronto, a few of us obviously felt the call of the gym and I found Glenn in there pounding away. Just as I got back to the room, Tim called to say we needed to scramble as there had been a mix-up re. the departure flight slot to Ottawa. Our recent decision to not do sound checks meant that Tim had revised all our departure times but I guess the air broker didn't relay the new information for today to the pilots and there was mild panic as we considered the consequences of us not getting off the ground. Still sweating I furiously packed, obviously a little more stuff than the other guys, speakers, cables etc. and I was the last one downstairs. Crocks shot me his usual frown piled me into the car and we were off, straight into some heavy traffic. Would we make it?

We did. This tour has experienced some incredible luck what with the truck crash, John's visa, and once again the rock gods were on our side as we winged our way to Ottawa.

We arrived into heavy rain and even a tornado alert (I noticed whilst watching the weather channel on the treadmill), thankfully nothing like that materialized.

Soon we were at the venue and as usual, straight into catering to see what delights the local caterers had in store. I bumped straight into Kerry Lewis, our monitor man who some of you may recall has been struggling lately with shoulder/arm problems. He woke on the bus this morning in great pain and unable to move so when the crew arrived, Pete Hillier (porduction manager) organized a chiropractor. Kerry said the relief was immediate and surprisingly it's the first time he's ever seen one. I guess he's now sold on them. The neck brace was an obvious precaution.

Kerry lays out the in-ears for the band in the dressing room.

Another listening crowd for our final Canadian show of the tour, and a great show it was too. Thanks Canada, see you soon.

Some of the many stars who've appeared here at the National Arts Centre appear on the walls of the corridoors. Yes that's Nookie bear and Patti Page.

After show it was a quick get-out and off to Boston and through US customs once more. Boston is notoriously tight in terms of security nowdays and our private arrival was greeted by a young Immigration officer who insisted the Brits went through the terminal to clear immigration. We were shepherded into a bus and drive over by a chap who found himself multi-tasking as there were so few staff on duty at that late hour. He escorted us through a myriad of ridiculously over secure doors each of which required a badge-swipe, fingerprint and security code to pass and he insisted on only allowing 3 passengers through at a time. He clearly was frustrated by all this and after the alarms had been triggered he became quite flustered. This is when we started to feel for him a bit. After passing through 5 doors we found two unusually jovial customs officers to process us. The building was empty apart from us 6 lonely Brits. Then it was back from whence we came except that he led us to an escalator coming up and we needed to go down. Back through tje doors again, another alarm triggered. we were all mighty relieved to be out on the tarmac again.
