Toronto is another of those cities we all look forward to visiting. A huge sprawling place on the northern shoreline of Lake Ontario. The Four Seasons, where we traditionally stay is definitely a little tired now and so we find ourselves in a place called the Hazleton, with one of the hippest bar/restaurants in trendy Yorkville a popular area within Toronto. Just across the road from the soaring Four Seasons which we learn is scheduled for demolition in 2012. The Hazleton didn't let us down in the slightest and the staff were extremely eager to please.

And so we return to the Molson amphitheatre, a very well thought out venue with great amenities, very helpful staff and a fabulous location on the lake shore. The dressing rooms overlook a small inlet from the lake and there's plenty of wildlife to gaze upon out the windows. Canada Geese for one. The other pleasant surprise was the catering, a barbeque and home made curry which was absolutely delicious...far better than the cooked off-site, re-heated pap the crew and band usually have to endure in some of the venues Stateside. I should explain...because of certain union rules in the US and Canada, we aren't allowed to bring our own caterers. BOO! So the venues provide the food (we pay for it of course) and they use local catering so we're completely at the mercy of whoever they decide to use.

 Anyway, enough of my ranting..

Jesca Hoop agreed to host an interview with Ben Byford, self-proclaimed tour entertainments manager, for my behind the scenes documentary. Here she holds up a picture of Steve Ricalis (above) painted sometime in the 14th century. A  most entertaining interview it turned out to be too.

The gig itself was stunner, yes I know...another one. Well we really are having too much fun on this tour and every show seems to be great. The best way to describe tonight's audience is LOUD. When we finished the set and popped our in-ear monitors out the noise level was almost painful. I know that the roof of the semi-outdoor venue amplified it a bit but nevertheless they were LOUD! We hung out at the venue after-show as it was so nice and had a few drinks by the water, then it was back to the sumptuous Hazleton hotel for the usual soiree in my room.
