The hotel we are staying in for four nights is worthy of a few words. One of the few occasions I think where opinions within the band are split. I think this place is fabulous. Set in the heart of the Valpolicella area just to the North of Verona, the 15th century classical Venetian style villa, previously abandoned has been lovingly and creatively restored and contains some quite bold paintings and furniture. Each room is unique and not to everyone's taste but there's a photo opportunity around every corner. The chandelier below is pretty spectacular.

Not much of a view then..Even though the pool is officially closed, it took more than that to stop me doing my lengths.

San Bernadino, ring a ding ding. On the road, southbound towards Mantova.

Mark and Matt enjoy the catering which today has set up in a huge sports hall next to the hall we are playing.

Another great show tonight. A standing audience and once again, amazingly attentive and appreciative. We talk about the shows in the cars on the way back to the hotel and last night we commented on how they applaud in the strangest places...after each verse of some songs. I had a few technical problems with one of my synths (Trinity) but apart from that another excellent evening capped off with......

The delicious Valpolicella Amarone in the bar at the hotel. We figure if we can't get a great Valpolicella here then there's something wrong.
