Most of us needed to get up a little earlier than usual this morning as a planned trip to the Boss VIP store means a 40 minute drive Southwards but my alarm clock wasn't needed as the hotel had the forethought to supply loud drilling noises reverberating through the walls at 9am. It woke most of the late sleepers up. The Boss outlet has become a regular stop on the German touring itinerary as there's something exciting about the rush round the private store which literally has everything for the well dressed German from shoes to bathrobes. I found a few bits and bobs and of course I took twice as long as everyone else as I could easily be described as a crap shopper so after everyone else got tired of waiting for me, Gunther stayed behind to drive me back to the hotel before the planned 5pm soundcheck. After soundcheck at the Schleyerhalle a tour group photograph was planned. This all went according to plan and here is the full 46 man touring party including all drivers.

Team B drivers displaying their excitement for Sunday's game. Bob, Gunther and Eike.

Dave Hall, production manager keeps an eye on sound check to make sure we stay on schedule.

A few of us had massages and indeed Dan and I arrived early at the venue to accommodate this. Dinner was as usual, spectacular so it was business as usual from then on in, with vocal warm-ups, ginger, honey, lemon and mint tea and suit-up for the gig.

Richard and Mark, going deeper and deeper...

Pete came into the dressing room to say we're holding again, for ten minutes as they seem to be slow coming in. Must be the fine weather. Also, it was predicted to be a warm gig so we attired accordingly. It was a warm one, and a good one too with no adjustment to the trusty set list, the sound was great, the crowd were fantastic and after show it was a 10 minute drive back to the Le Meridian hotel and to the bar which hasn't changed in about 300 years for multiple draught pilsener beers. There was a full compliment of band and management in the bar and the 'cleansing, foaming' flowed freely.
