At the meet and greet today Richard decided to 'go electric' with the lap steel so he broke out the Rickenbacker bakelite and amp. Also, Mark and Danny and myself met Milan Goltz from the Sonor drum company and Christoph Vetter (WESTFALENPOST) and his daughter Lisa, Milan presented Mark with the most beautiful 'Sonor artist' snare drum for his new studio.
We ran a few things in sound check today, changed one of the intros slightly, made some adjustments to the lights etc. whittling away at the set improving it all the time. Another fabulous show tonight in a hall which is expected to be 'difficult' in terms of sound. Judging by the resposes I'm getting today (the day off) via e-mail, it sounded pretty good. It was great up on the stage. Another runner after-show to Frankfurt airport onto the plane bound for Luton and a sushi/sashimi feast all washed down with sake and of course gin'n'tonics. The Brits were driven home for the day off before the Wembley show on Thursday.
