New, old, new, old. The weathering of the older guitars clearly illustrated here

After a fleeting visit to Los Angeles we boarded the magic carpet for the final time today bound initially for wonderful Santa Barbara and then after show to San Fransisco. As we flew along the coast following the PCH I recognised many of the surf beaches such as C street, Rincon and Pitas point from times spent here with the family in the past. How beautiful is Santa Barbara? A short drive and we're at the bowl, a delightful amphitheatre, and soundcheck in the blazing sun. Space blankets cover the gear and prevent overheating whilst we run a few tunes and top up the tans. Catering was a very pleasant surprise today tri-tip beef was on the menu and it was absolutely delicious. After all the hustle and bustle of LA and the filming etc. the show was so wonderfully relaxed and the Santa Barbara crowd really made for a great evening. Some noteable performances for me to use for the DVD possibly. "What a band" Emmy pointed out after hearing Matt's delicious playout on this is us..A runner and the final final ride on the jet with accompanying sushi delights before we arrive in SF and straight to my room where I set up the NHT's for the last time and pour celebratory Gins for all.
