25th - 30th May - Royal Albert Hall
Rather than post a separate diary entry for each night at the Royal Albert Hall, I will update this entry daily. As it was quite a hectic first night, there aren't many pics yet but I will add more as we go through the week. Some of you may already know that each of the shows at the RAH will be in aid of a charity. Mark will be making a donation each night to a specific charity and they will then be able to make a re-show speech and organize collections in the hall in order to generate funds. The charities are.

Monday 26th May
A great 2nd night at the Albert. Joe Brown was a special guest tonight and Mike kindly took a few pictures of our soundcheck. Some of you may know that Joe is a demon ukulele player and after soundcheck and dinner I knocked on his dressing room door as he said he'd show me a few tricks. He duly obliged and Richard and I had a fabulous 10 minute lesson.

Tuesday 27th May
It's very easy to become blase about venues and cities visited when on the road but one place that has a humbling effect is the Albert Hall. Although we've played here many times in the past, it's always a 'moment' when you look out from the stage during a show and cast your eyes upwards towards the 'gods'. Show number three was upon us before we know it and another fabulous evening was in store.
Wednesday 28th May
We had planned a tour of the Albert Hall roof for this afternoon as some of the band did a few years ago, but alas in the past two years, good old health and safety have been successful in their quest to make life as mundane as possible and prevented us from doing so. However, Simon, our intrepid lighting designer wasn't dissuaded by this and used his powers of persuasion and of course his well documented expertise in matters of rigging to organize a trip for him and Mike. Mike took these stunning shots from the roof of this incredible venue. Please look away now if you are in any way afraid of heights!
